August walk along the Hollywell Dene from Seaton Sluice, across the wooden bridge and past the Ridley Obelisk onward to the Melton Constable for refreshments.
Just a heads up for our August walk, planned for 1 pm Thursday 28th August. This will be a slightly less robust stroll than the Stannington/River Blyth walk last month as the route follows the Hollywell Dene from Seaton Sluice to the turn off across the bridleway past the Ridley Obelisk and back to the Melton Constable for refreshments. About 4 miles ( picture of my Outdoor Active route shows what a non-GPS old mobile can do, route wanders all over!).
We will meet at the car park next to the chip shop/church or if full across the road by the Waterford Arms to start at the North East side of the dene.
Weather should be good and there are plenty of opportunities for rest breaks photos etc. (the birds are very tame).
Hope to see you there
