John R, one of our members is group leader. Remember you don't have to be able to hike up Everest.... Just gentle walks to start with and maybe different locations to allow opportunity for chatting, photos and general breathing in of the countryside and coast fresh air.
Initially we will be having 1 walk per month, if the group members want more we can add an extra. At present the walks will be on the 4th Thursday in the month starting after lunch at 1pm. I will check the weather forecast and if the weather is too inclement I will make the decision to cancel/change date-so keep an eye on your emails.
Bear in mind that Autumn and Spring can be cool so dress accordingly. There is a risk assessment in the links for your perusal, I will complete one for each of our walks.
I intend to stop the walks for the winter so the last walk will be in October if the group is happy with this, we can discuss on the walk. The first in March (again depending on the weather).
Each walk will be placed on the website notice board and the monthly meeting notice board. Our agreed policy is that dogs should not be taken unless they are guide or assistance dogs in case there is a problem as we cannot always guarantee their behaviour.
Send an email to me if you have any questions.
Spring has Sprung (we hope). Revisit an old favourite for March
