Established in February 1995, Blyth Town started out as a junior football club with only 3 football teams. Since then our numbers have increased and we now run our club foundation, junior boys and girls section, reserve team as well as both men’s and women’s first teams.
Our girls/ladies section has been such a huge success and is growing yearly thanks to the dedicated coaches we have. A large number of the girls have successfully moved into the professional game, some of whom have represented their country at international level.
In December 2002 we became the first ‘Community Club’ in the North East, which led, in 2007, to the Club receiving grant aid from The Football Foundation to build our own fantastic facilities in Blyth.
Blyth and District u3a have their meetings in the Club Hall that has great facilities including a bar for special occasions, tea and coffee facilities at our meetings, toilets and the ability to host entertainments.
